What is the preferred future for the N.C. League of Municipalities?

Your help is needed to make sure that the League continues to provide the services and programs that will benefit your municipality and all others across the state.

The NCLM Board of Directors invites you to become involved in the League's Strategic Directions Initiative, begun last year to examine the League's future directions. A steering committee has recommended a proposed mission statement, core values and strategic directions.

A presentation and materials on the Strategic Directions Initiative have been sent to each member city and town (and can be viewed below).

The Board of Directors is asking each governing board to view the presentation, read the materials and complete the enclosed survey/comment sheet.

The Board then will take the comments and survey results and modify and adopt a mission statement, core values and strategies for the League. From these will come specific plans for new or continued services and programs.

As the League approaches its second century, it is time to examine its future. Be a part of that effort.
